• Partnership: Samuel Shethar, in 1796-1805, in Litchfield CT. As SHETHAR & THOMPSON. Originally the firm was at "the Red Shop located few rods west of the meeting house." ³

• Master: Anson Dickinson, about 1797, in Litchfield CT.

• He worked in 1805-1811 as a silversmith in Litchfield CT ³

• Advertised: Litchfield Gazette, on 11 May 1808, in Litchfield CT. "Gold and Silversmith. Makes all kinds of Tea and Tablespoons in the most workmanlike manner and plated work of all kinds. Watches carefully repaired. Cash paid for old Gold and Silver." ³

• He worked in 1811-1817 as a silversmith in Brattleboro VT in a one-story wooden building on the east side of Main Street, opposite the Tavern. The business was continued by his son, Daniel B. Thompson. ³
