- Flynt & Fales:, . 3 According to Cutten, Silversmiths of Georgia, William Bradford Whiting Sr. spent most of his later life in New York serving as judge and state senator; it is more likely that the silversmith by that name was his son, who was in Savannah c 1780 and had dealings with his uncle, Ebenezer Whiting. It may be that he apprenticed to Ebenezer.
William married Abigail Lathrop, daughter of Azariah Lathrop and Abigail Huntington, on 5 Feb 1793 in Norwich CT. (Abigail Lathrop was born on 24 Mar 1772 in Norwich CT and died on 25 Aug 1805 in Norwich CT.)
