• He worked after 1824 as a silversmith in Charleston SC first at 195 King Street then, by 1831, at 8 Smith Street. Sometime in the mid-1830s, he appears to have set aside his craft and became a Methodist minister, eventually moving on to Columbia SC where he died.

• He appeared on the census in 1850 in , Richland, SC. Listed as a planter.
