  • Advertised in the Spooner's Journal (New Hampshire), 7 Oct 1793, informing the public that he had ". . . served a regular apprenticeship making and repairing watches and clocks, together with plate and jewelry, and begged to inform the public of Hanover and towns adjacent that he proposed carrying on business near Dartmouth College, a few rods South of printing office." He also offered "the highest price given for old gold, silver, brass, copper, and pewter.." 3
