• Apprenticed in 1854 to Amos Page in Amherst Nova Scotia ¹
  

• He worked in 1861-1864 as a silversmith, watchmaker and jeweler in Chatham New Brunswick on 20 Aug 1864 sold up business and moved to Saint John, living with brother Richard at 7 Exmouth Street. Returned to Amherst in 1876. ⁴²

• He was a partner in 1870-1876 with Richard Page in St John Canada as PAGE BROS, working at 41 King Street. ⁴²
