  • He worked after 1835 as a silversmith and jeweler in Woodbury CT as L. B. CANDEE & Co. It appears he retired by the 1850 census, which lists him as a farmer, as does the 1860.

    Mr Enos Frisby

                 Dear Sir

                              We are oblidged to send Mr Finch away with out the Desert Spoons and the Thimbles, much against our wishes. We did not finish a Spoon— the task work on account of the Water and could get none finished today for you. We have given Mr. Finch an order for the Combs in N York, where he will probably find Mr. Curtis, who is now there. We regret that we are oblidged to disappoint you, but it must be so.
