  General notes:

Silversmith

  Events in his life were:

  • Apprenticed on 21 Jul 1629 to James Fearne in London England
To serve for a period of ten years.
  • Kane:,. After completing his apprenticeship in London, he joined his parents in Boston and was granted, on 25 Nov 1639, twenty-one acres of land in Braintree. 9
  • Master to John Hull Abt 1639 in Boston MA. In Hull's diary, preserved at the American Antiquarian Society, he noted, "After a little keeping at school I was taken to help my father plant corn, which I attended to for several years together; and then by God's good hand I fell to learning by help of my brother {i.e. half brother Richard Storer] and to practice the trade of goldsmith." 9
  • Kane:,. Having trained his half-brother, he apparently returned to England by 1646. In December of that year, Robert Hull gave to his son John Hull Storer's twenty-one acres, which he presumably had purchased from Storer before his leaving. 9
