- He was a partner in 1805-1810 with John Taylor and Horace Seymour Hinsdale in New York City NY as TAYLOR & HINSDALE, jewelers. This was a branch of the firm E. HINSDALE & Co of Newark. The original partnership ended with the death of Epaphras in 1810, but the firm name and mark continued in use through the 1820s. 4
