- Boston MA, 15 Dec 1778:
Apppointed guardian of nephew David Vinton. He gave bond in the sum of £2000 with Joseph Gowen of Sudbury and Thomas Locke of Lexington as sureties. Twenty-six dollars of paper for one of silver was the current rate of depreciation of continental money. At this rate, the amount of the bonds given by David Vinton's administrator was about $260.00. 3
