• Flynt & Fales:, . ³ Mentioned in list of Portsmouth silversmiths in New Hampshire Profiles. Deed of 1814 refers to him as goldsmith. Probate Records of Exeter for 1816, show administration of his father's estate granted to "Andrew Gerrish, silversmith," who with William Simes and John Gaines gave bond. Probate Records of 1835 reveal a license granted to a Phebe Gerrish to sell his real estate on May 12, 1835, and states he died May 7, 1835, aged 51 and "For twenty years keeper at the county jail in this town." So listed in Portsmouth Directories of 1821, 1827 and 1834.
