- Flynt & Fales:, . 3 He and his wife sold their share in the tavern at the Sign of the Horseshoe to Capt. Jonathan Pollard, whose grandson, Col. Jonathan Pollard, was also a goldsmith. He may have moved to South Carolina as William Pollard, silversmith of Charleston, became a member of the South Carolina Society in 1738, died there in 1740, and was buried New Year's Day 1741, according to St. Philip's Register.
