• He appeared on the 1860 census taken at Lebanon NH, listed as a goldsmith.

• Advertised circa 1870 (Saint Johnsbury VT),
  Mr. T. M. Howard has secured the services of Mr. C. C. Rowell, an older brother of his former jeweller, A. D. Rowell. The Rowells all have an enviable reputation for skillful work, and C. C. is not a whit behind the rest of the family.

  C. C. Rowell, brother of A. D. Rowell, of the firm of Howard & Rowell, in this place, died at Jacksonville, Florida, March 14th. His brother, hearing of his failing health, some days since, started for Florida, and reached there one day before his decease.
