    A Fire Bug.
    Bangor, Me., July 18. -- Charles S. Glman, a jeweler, occupying a part of Dr. C.S. Phillbrick's drug store, has been arrested, charged with the fire that on July 11th destroyed the business portion of Bangor. He had robbed the store.
    It was discovered that he had removed valuables before starting the fire. After his arrest he attempted to kill himself with poison.

    Supposed Suicide of a Jeweler.
    Bangor, Me., July 19. -- An East Corinth dispatch says that Charles S. Gilman, proprietor of the jewelry store which last week was robbed and burned, causing a disastrous fire there, has disappeared, leaving a note which stated that his body would be found in Pushaw's pond. At the pond a boat was found floating about loose. Gilman had been accused of blowing up his own safe and causing the fire, to get the insurance. It is thought that he has committed suicide.
