• He was a partner before 7 May 1808 with William Brestede Heyer in New York City NY as HEYER & GALE. In the 07 May 1808 edition of the American Citizen, Heyer announced the "Dissolution of Partnership with J. L. Gale, Jr." Ensko gives this partnership to Jesse's brother, John Lee, but he was not a 'Junior' and would have only been 19 at the time of the dissolution, not yet at his majority.
