- He worked before 1820 as a silversmith in Providence RI with JOSIAH WHITAKER & Co. At some time the firm included both Thomas Whitaker and William Greene, who were both mentioned in the notice of dissolution printed on 9 March 1820 in the Providence Gazette. 3
- He worked circa 1820-1840 as a silversmith in Providence RI from shop at corner of North Baptist Lane and Main Street. 3
- Advertised in the Providence Gazette (Providence RI), 8 Apr 1820, offering "fancy staple goods, silver, tea, table and dessert spoons, salts, and plated teasets; cash given for old silver." 3
- He was a partner circa 1840-1852 with Caleb Earl Whitaker in Providence RI as T. WHITAKER & SON.
