• He worked circa 1700-1730 as a silversmith in Talbot MD
  Like his father, there is no known record of his being in the trade. Pleasants and Sill (Maryland Silvesmiths: 1715-1830) think it is likely, given his recorded occupation of innkeeper (a common job pairing in early Maryland) and the local training of his silversmith sons, Thomas and James Earle.

Richard married Rachel Earle. (Rachel Earle was born about 1680 in Queen Anne's MD and died in 1720 in Talbot MD.)
