Death of Mr. H.O. Hood. The death of our well known fellow citizen, Mr. H.O. Hood, yesterday, after a few hours sickness with cholera morbus, caused the false report to be spread that the disease from which he died was Asiatic cholera. Mr. Hood was from Buffalo, New York, was about sixty years of age and had been carrying on the business of jeweler in this city for about twenty years. He purchased the property at the northwest corner of 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and in 1867 erected the marble front building which now stands there. Mr. Hood was of a kind and charitable nature and a good neighbor and his reputation for integrity among the business community stood high. His funeral will take place at 4 o'clock tomorrow from his late residence, No. 501 11th Street Northwest and will be attended by the Masonic fraternity, of which he was a valued member.
