• , . Rogers was a very well-to-do businessman, having grown up involved with the family business, the Langdon Miter Box Co., becoming its president by 1887. He was a major stockholder of the A.F. Towle & Son Co., and was one of the men who financially induced that firm to move to Greenfield.

• He was a partner in 1879 with David Childs Rogers and George W. Spurr in Greenfield MA as ROGERS & SPURR MANUFACTURING Co.
