    C. P. BARNES DEAD.
    Mr. C. P. Barnes, the well-known jeweler, died at 10:30 last night at his residence, 1026 Third Avenue.

    Mr. Barnes was senior member of the firm of C. P. Barnes & Bro., located in the Louisville Trust Company building on the corner of Fifth and Market streets. He established the business many years ago, when he came here from Chautauqua County, N. Y., where he was born sixty-six years ago. The store for a long number of years was in the Louisville Hotel building. Eight years ago he married Mrs. Higgins, of Lexington, who survives him.
