- He worked circa 1775-1785 as a silversmith in New Haven CT owned two acres on site bounded "on southwest by Broadway," which contained his house and barn, on east side of which was his goldsmith's shop. Location for his shop is also cited as possibly at State and Grove Streets in catalogue note of New Haven Colony Historical Society Early Silver Exhibition. There is reference to his goldsmith shop in New Haven Probate Records. 3
Amos married Hannah Hall, daughter of John Hall and Abiah Macomber, about 1772 in Hamden CT. (Hannah Hall was born in 1751 in New Haven CT and died on 30 Aug 1832.)
