• He was a partner in 1860-1864 with John Gordon in Newburgh NY as GORDON & BOGERT working at 247 Grand. As before, a great proportion, if not all, of the firm's holloware production was made for BALL, BLACK & Co.

• He worked in 1866-1880 as a silversmith in New York City NY as WILLIAM BOGERT & Co. at 4 Howard Street. On 01 Febuary 1866, Bogert bought the business of the late Charles Grosjean, a major supplier of holloware to TIFFANY & Co. Tiffany continued the relationship with Bogert until 1868.
