  Events in his life were:

• He worked in 1805-1815 as a pewtersmith in Charlestown MA
  Though consistantly called a "pewtersmith" in documents prior to 1815, he is called "a gunsmith alias pewtersmith" in the probate record and the record of his estate shows turner's tools and rifle parts indicating he had, at least, adopted a secondary craft near the end of his life. ¹¹
