- Master to Edmund Hughes 1791-1793 in Ashford CT. Apparently the association did not work out, as Baker advertised in 1793 for a new apprentice, stating "Edmund Hughes had run away." Apparently Hughes eventually returned and completed his training. 3
- Advertised in the Windham Herald (Windham CT), 1793, as a clock and watchmaker and goldsmith. 3
- Ashford CT, 1794: according to Ashford Land Records he bought property in 1794 and added adjoining land in 1795 at the junction of the Boston and Hartford Turnpike, near the site of the Congregational Meetinghouse. On this two and a quarter acres he built his house, which is still standing. 3
Eleazer married Hannah Trowbridge on 12 Apr 1787 in Pomfret CT. (Hannah Trowbridge was born on 7 Sep 1765 in Pomfret CT and died on 9 May 1816 in Willington CT.)
