  In his will, written on 18 April 1804, Burt left to his last apprentice "all his Goldsmiths working tools now in my shop."

• He worked after 1793 as a silversmith in Boston MA
  He was listed in the 1803 and 1805 city directories on Fifth Street. A spoon attributed to him and inscribed "First Church / Malden 1823" is in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts collection. ⁹
