  • Flynt & Fales:, . 3 He was a goldsmith and lived in Boston and Cohasset. At the time of the great Boston fire, 20 March 1760, he was located on Mackerel Lane and lost personal goods valued at 32/5/4. The Suffolk Registry of Deeds has a record that John Doane of Eastham bought land and houses on School Street from the heirs of Samuel Haugh, goldsmith.
  • Obituary printed in the Boston Weekly News-Letter (Boston MA) on 13 Aug 1767 3
    Referring to his death, "Goldsmith formerly of Boston, died at Island of Barbados, where for some years he had been resident."
