• He worked in 1798-1800 as a goldsmith in Boston MA listed in 1800 city directory with a shop at no. 14 Ann Street and house on Prince Street. ⁴

• He was a partner in 1800-1806 with Rufus Farnam in Boston MA ⁴

• Norwich CT, Sep 1807: from Joseph Carpenter's son, Charles, he and Rufus Farnum bought his one-sixth part of the late silversmith's house, shop, store, and land, near the courthouse in Norwich. ³
