  • He worked in May 1784 as a silversmith and clockmaker in Providence RI said to give highest prices for old gold and silver and was particularly well-known for the shoe buckles he wrought. 3
  • Advertised: Providence Gazette, on 14 Aug 1784, in Providence RI. Clock- and watchmaker, his shop, north of the Baptist Meetinghouse. 3

  • General: Dodge House, about 1786, in Providence RI. Built for Seril Dodge on Thomas Street next door to the Charitable Baptist Society Meetinghouse (on left). Built on land originally belonging to Thomas Angell the house was originally two stories, but raised a floor in 1906 to make room for a grocery store. The brick building on the right is the second house built by Dodge. 1
