  • He worked circa 1765-1775 as a silversmith and general merchant in Portland ME on 13 October 1775, his buildings were burned during the bombardment of the city; his loss was estimated at £683. 3
  • He worked circa 1776-1818 as a silversmith and general merchant in Windham ME served as deacon and in 1783 was one of a committee of three to build a meetinghouse. In 1805 was church treasurer. Erected a number of buildings, occupied a number of different and important offices in town and dealt in groceries (no mention of goldsmithing). 3

Paul married Hannah Emery on 20 May 1762 in Portland ME. (Hannah Emery was born on 12 Feb 1744 in Newburyport MA and died on 4 Sep 1771.)
