• He appeared on the census in 1860 in Lebanon NH. Listed as a goldsmith.

• Advertised: c 1870, in Saint Johnsbury VT.
  Mr. T. M. Howard has secured the services of Mr. C. C. Rowell, an older brother of his former jeweller, A. D. Rowell. The Rowells all have an enviable reputation for skillful work, and C. C. is not a whit behind the rest of the family.
  

• His obituary was published in The St. Johnsbury Caledonian on 21 Mar 1873 in Saint Johnsbury VT. C. C. Rowell, brother of A. D. Rowell, of the firm of Howard & Rowell, in this place, died at Jacksonville, Florida, March 14th. His brother, hearing of his failing health, some days since, started for Florida, and reached there one day before his decease.
