  The Noyes Award was established by Mrs. Noyes in 1870 to perpetuate her husband's memory and honor his contributions to the town. It was given annually for the purpose of encouraging excellence in deportment and scholarship among the pupils of Nashua High. The recipient, George Williams Boutelle, was born in Nashua on 25 April 1870.

Esther married Leonard White Noyes, son of Moody Noyes and Anna Pike, in 1826. (Leonard White Noyes was born on 14 Jan 1799 in Canaan NH and died on 18 Mar 1867 in Nashua NH.)
