- He worked in 1786-1788 as an instrument maker in New York City NY suceeding to the business of J. Quincy at 199 Water Street. He was in turn succeeded by his brother, Clarke Greenwood. He was also trained as an ivory turner and later took up dentistry, He made false teeth for George Washington.
