- Alternate Mark this mark, formerly attributed to William Rollinsonon rather tenuous grounds, is here given to Roe. It is found, together with a NY sheaf mark, on a pair of c 1810 coffin end spoons with handle cartouche engraving very similar in design and execution to two other coffin spoons marked with Roe's standard mark.
- He worked in 1776-1800 as a silversmith in Albany NY 4

- He was a partner in 1800-1805 with Francis or P. M. Stollenwerck in Kingston NY as ROE & STOLLENWERCK. 4
- He worked circa 1805-1825 as a silversmith in Troy NY 4
