  Events in his life were:

• He worked circa 1808-1825 as a manufacturer in Hartford CT producing wood handled ladels with pewter bowls. He was issued a patent for an improved ladle socket in 1808 and it was originally thought that he manufactured the bowls as well as the handles, but it now appears that he bought in the former, perhaps from one of his wife's brothers, Thomas or Sherman Boardman.
