A bill of sale to Moses Kimball, Jr. of Newburyport for silver sugar tongs and pair of candlesticks dated Nov. 23, 1815, is signed by George Greenleaf (private collection). Listed as a commission merchant in 1849, deputy sheriff in 1850, and an auctioneer in 1872.
